Trend Score
Composite 0-100 weighing Demand (40%), Growth (40%) and inverse Saturation (20%). A high Trend Score means a big, growing, uncrowded market.
The weekly POD opportunity report
Vexels Pulse blends our designer-community signal with Google Trends, Reddit and other sources into a single index — so you know which niches, styles and products to design now, before the rest of the market catches up.
01 · Seasonal radar · Plan ahead
POD has a 4-8 week design-to-sale cycle. Here's what's coming so you can design backwards from each peak.
Act II
IIThe niches that are moving, the opportunity map, and the 12-month comparison. The analytical side of the report.
02 · Trend of the week
The single highest-opportunity niche this week — chosen by Pulse from across our tracked dataset. The market is moving — get there first.
03 · Hot niches
Every niche we track, ordered by Opportunity Index — demand × growth ÷ saturation. Top three get the spotlight; the rest are still worth a look.
03b · Sub-niche radar · Discover
Terms recurring across POD blogs, forums, and articles that aren't in our taxonomy yet. Click → search on Vexels.
04 · Opportunity map · Hero analytic
Every trend plotted by saturation and growth. Top-left is where you want to be. Bubble size = demand, color = lifecycle stage.
Saturation is currently estimated heuristically. Real Etsy + Amazon listings data ships in Fase 2 — see Methodology below.
05 · Compare
Twelve months of search interest, side by side. Pick up to five niches or styles to chart.
Click chips to add or remove · Max 5 lines
06 · Cultural pulse · World events
Global events, cultural moments, and political peaks with POD resonance. Each one links to Vexels Visual Inspiration to start designing.
Act III
IIIThe visual language, the classic products, and the long tail where margins quietly live.
07 · Visual styles
From Y2K chrome to dark academia — the aesthetic vocabulary buyers are searching for this season.
08 · Products
The 9 POD product types we track, ordered by current search interest.
09 · Beyond the basics · Long tail
Less crowded product categories with strong margin and weak competition. Same Pulse scoring as the classics — just less obvious.
Act IV
IVThe real voices of the market — top Reddit posts, words of the week, and the methodology tying it all together.
10 · From the seller threads
Top posts of the week from r/printondemand, r/EtsySellers, r/Etsy. Anecdata is data when there's enough of it.
11 · Buzzwords
The vocabulary of POD seller threads. Bigger word, more mentions.
Methodology
A single index built from multiple sources, processed and curated by our research team. No raw third-party numbers — everything you see is normalized, weighted and contextualized.
Composite 0-100 weighing Demand (40%), Growth (40%) and inverse Saturation (20%). A high Trend Score means a big, growing, uncrowded market.
Demand × Growth ÷ Saturation, normalized 0-100 across the snapshot. The number to chase. 100 = the best opportunity of the week.
Five stages — Emerging, Rising, Peak, Plateau, Declining — derived from 4-week slope, week-over-week and absolute volume. Tells you when to act, not just what to design.
Estimated weeks until a trend peaks. POD has a 4-8 week design-to-sale cycle, so we surface this on every card. "Start now" / "Design within 2 weeks" / "Too late".
Saturation is currently estimated heuristically from search volume. Real saturation data (from Etsy + Amazon scrapers) is the next milestone. Use Pulse as a directional signal, not as financial advice — and diversify your portfolio.
